Electronic Titling Program

GCADA Electronic Titling System (ETS)

The Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association and CTMS have developed the “Electronic Titling System” for members of GCADA, saves both time and money when managing titles.   ETS allows dealerships to electronically submit title work to your county clerk’s office for processing.

Significant Advantages of ETS:

• Download vehicle information from your DMS System
• Submit title work electronically to county clerk’s office anytime and/or all at once
• Eliminate writing checks to your county title offices
• E-Titles returned in 1 day
• Alleviate fuel expense and use of dealership vehicles
• Lower runner and mileage expense

What’s Involved:

• Dealers will have to register with and be approved by the OBMV as an Electronic Title Application Dealer (ETA Dealer)
• Dealership will launch the GCADA Electronic Title Program and enter your dealer number from their DMS
• The title clerk will then choose the type of transaction that they are requesting along with the sales tax information needed for titling purposes
• Title evidence will be scanned into the computer, attached to the title request computer and sent to the Ohio BMV & the local title bureau via the internet
• Dealerships will be notified through the ETS whether a title has been issued or there is an error/issue.  When a title is issued all title fees and sales taxes will be electronically withdrawn from the dealership’s designated checking account.

Should you like a demonstration or more information on the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association’s Electronic Titling System (ETS), please contact Dennis Rose at drose@gcada.org or you can call him at 440.746.1500.
