OCTOBER NORTHEAST OHIO AUTO SALES WEAKEN
Cleveland, OH (November 13, 2009) – According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), October 09 v. October 08 new vehicle car and truck sales were off 21%. The decline is due in part to decreased vehicle inventories and the successful CARS (Cash for Clunkers) program. Ford led all automakers in October and year to date Northeast Ohio sales.
“The current decline in sales is, in large part, an inventory issue which manufacturers are taking steps to rectify. As manufacturer inventories adjust to consumer demand, automotive sales figures will increase accordingly.” says Gary Adams, President of the GCADA.
