JUNE SALES CONTINUE TO RISE WITH NATIONAL TREND
Cleveland, OH (July 9, 2010) – According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), June 10 v. June 09 new vehicle car and truck sales increased 13.01% when removing sales statistics for the Hummer, Pontiac and Saturn brands. New vehicle sales year to date increased 16.58% in YTD June 10 v. June 09. Ford continued to lead all automakers followed by Chevrolet and Toyota for Northern Ohio new vehicle sales.
“June motor vehicle sales continued to trend upward although the industry’s recovery remains a slow process. We anticipate positive increases throughout the second half of the year despite a flat economy.” says Louis A. Vitantonio, Jr., President of the GCADA.
22 Brands Up June (‘10 v. ‘09)
The following twenty-two brands posted sales increases in June ‘10 versus June ‘09: Acura, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen.
21 Brands Up Year-to-Date
Through June, 2010, twenty-one brands posted year-to-date sales increases in the region. They are: Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo.
