AutoTrader.com Brings Interactive Game, Helps Consumers Find the Perfect Car at the Cleveland Auto Show

Cleveland, OH (January 6, 2011) — Presented by AutoTrader.com, the 2011 Cleveland Auto Show promises to have more interactive displays and family fun than ever before. In fact, one of those new interactive displays will be in the AutoTrader.com booth during the Show.

The Cleveland Auto Show at the I-X Center opens to the public on Saturday, February 26, 2011 and runs through Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the I-X Center. Parking is always free compliments of your new motor vehicle dealer.

“The Cleveland Auto Show is the place to be if you’re in the market for a new vehicle,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, Jr., president of the Cleveland Auto Show. “There are more than 1,000 vehicles on the Show floor, with vehicle experts and dealers’ representatives on hand to answer your questions.”

AutoTrader.com’s “Driver’s Choice” auto show game and the company’s “New Car Advisor” themed auto show booth at the Cleveland Auto Show aim to highlight how AutoTrader.com can help any car shopper find the perfect new car.

“Driver’s Choice” is a high-energy, driving-style video game that serves as the centerpiece of AutoTrader.com’s auto show experience and highlights the car shopping process in a fast-paced, engaging and fun way. Game players are challenged to build the new car of their dreams based on decisions they make about the car as they race through a course.  Show attendees can play “Driver’s Choice” from multiple kiosks in the AutoTrader.com booth at the show and there is no cost to play the game.

Players are rewarded with points at various stages of the game based on the decisions they make about their dream car.  These decisions mirror the car shopping process consumers can experience on AutoTrader.com as they work to find a car that meets their needs and their wants.  Players of the game can win a variety of prizes, including T-shirts and tote bags. The top scoring player during the Show will win an iPad from AutoTrader.com at the end of the Show.

The game, which utilizes cutting edge computer imagery similar to that in AutoTrader.com’s national “Heart & Mind” television advertising campaign, is a part of AutoTrader.com’s overall auto show marketing campaign which runs the entire Auto Show season, from November 2010 to May 2011. In addition to the Cleveland Auto Show, AutoTrader.com also will participate in auto shows in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Detroit, St. Louis, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago and New York City.

While Cleveland Auto Show attendees can play “Driver’s Choice” at game stations, the AutoTrader.com auto show booth also features computer kiosks, so attendees can research and compare new cars they see on the show floor and find inventory of new cars for sale while they are actually at the show.

“We know that a large percentage of auto show attendees across the country are coming to these shows because they are considering buying a new car in the next few months,” said John Kovac, vice president of consumer marketing from AutoTrader.com. “We want them to leave the show knowing that AutoTrader.com is their New Car Advisor and the best place to get more details about the new cars they see on the show floor.  What better way to do that than engage show attendees with a fun game and give them the opportunity to use AutoTrader.com right there at the show to find the car their heart and mind can agree on!”
