Ride-N-Drive Dates and Times Announced

Cleveland, OH (January 21, 2011) — The upcoming schedule for the expanded slate of Ride-N-Drives at the Cleveland Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com, has been announced.

“The only way to truly evaluate a vehicle is to get behind the wheel and take it out for a test drive,” says Bill Burke, Chairman of the Cleveland Auto Show. “The I-X Center gives us the space we need to satisfy consumer and exhibitor requests for these Ride-N-Drives, a concept that originated at the Cleveland Auto Show four years ago.”

In addition to the Jeep brand’s indoor ride experience called the Jeep Rocks & Road Tour, Subaru, Kia, Toyota, Chevrolet Buick and GMC will all host Ride-N-Drive events at the Cleveland Auto Show.

Chevrolet will bring its new Equinox, Camaro, Malibu, Traverse and Silverado 1500 All Star Edition. Buick is bringing its Regal, LaCrosse and Enclave. GMC will have its new Terrain, Acadia, Yukon Denali Hybrid and Sierra 2500 HD Diesel on hand.

All GM branded Ride-N-Drives will be held the first weekend of the show, Feb. 26 & 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The second weekend of the show, the GM Ride-N-Drives start on Friday, March 4 and run through Sunday, March 6. Once again, hours for the GM Ride-N-Drive are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kia is bringing six 2011 Kia Optimas for its Ride-N-Drive, which will be open every day of the show. Feb. 26 & 27, the Ride-N-Drive is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. From Monday, Feb. 28 through Thursday, March 3, the Kia Ride-N-Drive hours are from noon through 6 p.m. From Friday, March 4 through Sunday, March 6, Ride-N-Drive Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Subaru is holding its Ride and Drive on Saturday, Feb. 26 from noon to 9 p.m. On Sunday Feb. 27, hours are noon to 7 p.m. On Monday, Feb 28, an evening Ride-N-Drive will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Subaru Ride-N-Drive continues the next weekend, opening Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5 at noon and running through 9 p.m. The last day of the show, Sunday, March 6, the Subaru Ride-N-Drive hours are from noon to 7 p.m.

Toyota’s Ride-N-Drive event for the 2011 Cleveland Auto Show runs from Friday, March 4 through Sunday March 6. The Toyota Ride-N-Drive starts each of those days at 11 a.m. and runs to 7 p.m. Toyota will have its Camry Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid, and Prius on hand as well as its Tundra and 4Runner.

“This is by far the most extensive slate of Ride-N-Drives that we have ever had at the Cleveland Auto Show,” says Lou Vitantonio, Jr., President of the Cleveland Auto Show. “The popularity of these interactive events, plus the show incentives offered by all major brands during and after the show, should make it very easy for show attendees to get out to dealerships.

“The Cleveland Auto Show is always the kick off of the spring automotive selling season in Northeast Ohio. And this year, it looks to be stronger than ever.”
