Cleveland Auto Show to Host
More Ride-N-Drives Than Ever Before

Cleveland, OH (January 11, 2013)When the Cleveland Auto Show opens its doors to the public next month, attendees will have more chances than ever to get behind the wheel and actually test drive a car. The 2013 Cleveland Auto Show, presented by AutoTrader.com, will host Ride-N-Drive events from more than ten brands during the Show, the most in the history of the Show.

“There is simply no better way to evaluate a vehicle than to get behind the wheel and take it out on the road,” says Dan Sanders, chairman of the Cleveland Auto Show. “The Cleveland Auto Show pioneered the Ride-N-Drive concept, which has become one of the most popular facets of the Show.

Of course, once you have narrowed down your decision, it’s important to head out to a dealership to do a more complete test drive of a vehicle to make sure it perfectly suits your transportation needs. While there are plenty of product experts at the Show, there are also product experts at the dealership who can get into more details on a specific vehicle that you are interested in buying.”

The Cleveland Auto Show is able to offer Ride-N-Drive events due to the large size of the I-X Center. Most cities simply don’t have a facility or grounds large enough to host these kinds of events.

Ride-N-Drive events have already been scheduled for Chrysler, Dodge, Toyota, Scion, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia.

In addition, one of the show’s most popular indoor ride attractions, Camp Jeep, will be back this year. This indoor event, hosted by skilled Jeep drivers, allows show attendees to experience the trail-rated capabilities of Jeep vehicles.

The course traverses a number of obstacles, showing capabilities such as vehicle articulation, ground clearance, maneuverability and traction. While on the course, riders will learn how to negotiate off-road challenges such as steep grades, rocky trails and log crossings.

The specific list of vehicles available for outdoor Ride-N-Drives is not yet available. However, brands offering Ride-N-Drive events usually bring several of their most popular models for test drives.

“The Cleveland Auto Show is one of the largest auto shows in North America, so we always get the very best displays, concepts, and production vehicles from manufacturers,” say Louis A Vitantonio, Jr., president of the Greater Cleveland Auto Show, the organization that hosts the Cleveland Auto Show. “With our expanded slate of Ride-N-Drives this year, I am proud to see that the Cleveland Auto Show is still leading the way when it comes to offering our attendees the very best show experience possible.”

In addition, Cleveland Auto Show will also offer a full schedule of family fun and entertainment as well as celebrity appearances throughout the Show’s nine-day run. The Show runs from Saturday, February 23, 2013 through Sunday, March 3, 2013.
