Get Behind the Wheel at the Cleveland Auto Show

February 3, 2016 – There’s no better way to see if you like a vehicle than getting behind the wheel and taking it out for a test drive. This year, you’ll be able to do just that with a total of 11 different brands hosting Ride-N-Drive events at the 2016 Cleveland Auto Show.

In addition to Indoor Ride events from Camp Jeep and Ram Truck, visitors to the 2016 Cleveland Auto Show will be able to test drive sedans, crossovers, SUVs and trucks from a wide selection of brands, including: Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Mazda, Subaru, Toyota, Ram, Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler and Fiat.

“If you see something you like at the Show, you can check to see if it’s offered for a test drive at one of our Ride-N-Drive events,” says Chuck Gile, chairman of the Cleveland Auto Show. “The Cleveland Auto Show pioneered the Ride-N-Drive concept, and it’s been a favorite of auto show attendees since its inception.”

The Cleveland Auto Show is able to offer the largest selection of Ride-N-Drives in the country due to the size of the I-X Center. Most cities simply don’t have a facility or grounds large enough to host these kinds of events.

“Ride-N-Drives offer you an excellent opportunity to further evaluate and compare vehicles from behind the wheel,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the Cleveland Auto Show. “Once you have narrowed your choices down, you can head out to a local franchised new vehicle dealer where they will be able to answer even more questions about a specific vehicle, and offer information on the various incentives and special financing deals that are always available before, during and immediately after the Cleveland Auto Show.

In addition to the Ride-N-Drives from 11 different brands, show attendees will also be able to experience the capabilities of Jeeps and Ram Trucks without leaving the building. Camp Jeep and the Ram Truck Indoor Test Track are returning this year, offering attendees the chance to ride in a selection of Jeeps and Ram Trucks as skilled drivers put the vehicles through their paces over obstacles that test vehicle articulation, ground clearance, maneuverability and traction. They will also get some advice from drivers on how to negotiate off-road challenges such as steep grades, rocky trails and log crossings.

If you would like more information on the upcoming Ride-N-Drive events, other information about the Show, or to purchase tickets online with no convenience fee courtesy of Huntington Bank, head to www.clevelandautoshow.com.

The Cleveland Auto Show opens Friday evening, Feb. 26 at 5 p.m. and runs through Sunday, March 6. Tickets are $13 for adults and $11 for seniors and preteens. Children six and under get in free. Parking is free for the duration of the Show, courtesy of your franchised new motor vehicle dealers.

Show hours are: from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. the first Friday evening; from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
