FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cleveland, OH – New vehicle sales in Northern Ohio increased by 9.92 percent in July, compared to the same month last year. According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), dealers sold 16,910 new cars, trucks and SUVs last month. Year to date, the region saw an increase of 5.67 percent over 2022 sales.
“As new vehicle availability issues wane, sales continue to improve, especially when compared to last year,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the GCADA. “We are seeing finance incentives become more readily available, which helps offset the costs of inflation and higher loan interest rates.”
Ford took over as Northeast Ohio’s best-selling brand, with 2,026 new vehicle sales, just ahead of Chevrolet with 2,012 sales. Kia came in third place, recording 1,603 sales in July. Rounding out the top five in the region, Honda and Toyota sold 1,358 and 1,298 vehicles respectively.
