News Release: November New Vehicle Registrations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cleveland, OH – According to figures released today by the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers’ Association (GCADA), franchised dealers sold a total of 15,751 new vehicles in November, down by just over 3 percent compared to the same month in 2024. Dealers in Northern Ohio continue to outperform last year’s sales overall with 210,820 new vehicles sold year to date, an increase of 5.1 percent through 2025.
“As vehicle prices increased and the EV subsidies ended, we saw an expected slowdown of the market in November,” says Louis A. Vitantonio, president of the GCADA. “Higher priced vehicles that are now tariffed are showing up on lots, which is leading to a slowing of unit sales. We still anticipate a strong finish to the year, with single digit growth over 2024.”
Chevrolet hit the one-year mark as Northern Ohio’s best-selling brand, with 2,212 new vehicles sold in November. Ford remains in second, with 1,711 sales in the region. Toyota narrowly held third place, selling 1,489 vehicles, just ahead of Honda’s 1,472 sales in the month. Kia again came in fifth with 1,363 sales in November.
